It is a general observation of someone who has shopped in Islamabad all their life. The shopkeepers are least interested in showing their goods to the customers, hesitant to take anything off the shelf, and if one dares ask for a slightly less expensive product one is liable to be dealt with quite a lot of contempt. There is no question of after sales service, you are treated like a pauper off the street asking for alms if you expect it off them.
They are a rotten lot indeed.
