The KESC Gulshan Office Billing Department are openly involved in extorting money from residents of Gulshan-e-Iqbal thru inflated bills. Any time they can add as much amount as they wish to consumer arrear section on the bill. Complaints in person have no effect as they misbehave with consumers when they arrive at their offices for complaints and tell them that once an amount appear on the bill, the consumer must pay it. Even if it is clear from historical payments record that all previous bills were cleared on-time and as such it doesn't make sense to add any amount in arrears - they just don't listen! Maximum relief they give to consumers is to setup payment installments. In short, consumer must pay the bill else they theaten to cut off their electricity.
Written complaints of consumers are never responded to! KESC management doesn't seem to have any mechanim where every complaint is responded to and dealt with in a proper manner which means that higher management is also involved in this corruption. So, it appears that KESC management has hired expert "extortionist" to minimise KESC losses by punishing the honest consumers by added wrong arrears.
KESC even like to charge consumers for not using electricity during load shedding - hence despite high load sheddding, KESC high bills do not stop! It appears there are no rules / regulations for KESC or its staff to follow.
It leaves consumers no choice but to take the law in their own hands, and by force eliminate the corruptions since authorities have failed in every step of implementing the rules/regulations. Consumers are now fed up complaining over phone, in-person, online, and by writing - nothing is responded to! So the only solution which is available to consumers is "eliminate the corruption by-force".
KESC corrupt officials must wake up now and deal with consumers complaints according to rules / regulations as consumers would now resort to action that is fit for corrupt officials as their voices are never heard & they have already sufferred enough injustice!
