Subject: Bill Problem of Consumer No. AL519909, Meter No. ST35565

Dear Sir,

I wish to bring to your notice that this month (April 2009) we received a bill for
Rs. 3500/- which was also AVG bill and we were billed 500 units without taking the present reading. The previous reading shows 6419 units and the present reading shows N.A.

I checked the reading on 26th April 2009 and the reading showed 6834 units whereas the bill reading date was 17th April 2009. That means that after even 10 day of electricity usage the current reading has not reached the units you have billed us.

I met concerned staf and he informed me that our units are fluctuating that is the reason for sending AVG bill. I wish to bring another point to your notice that we had an AC installed in our house, which due to high inflation costs; I removed and sold it as we could not afford such huge bills. Also last year I could easily afford it.

I was also told that last year during the same month our units were more, the explanation is that at that time my parents were staying with me so more electricity was consumed and at present me and my wife are the only people staying at our residence.

I would also like to inform you that I and my wife are working and the house is empty the whole day, and we come home at 6:00 p.m. in the evening so naturally our consumption will be less now. If you want you can send someone and please check our house for load consumption.

I would also like to ask you, as long as we have not tempered with the meter, how much units we consume, why should it matter to you? Are we answerable to you for how much electricity we are supposed to use? Is it compulsory that we have to use the same amount of unit this year, what we used last year?

I would be grateful to you, if the concerned person is asked to correct the bill at your earliest, so that I can pay the bill at the earliest.

I would also like to mention that the meter reading was taken on 17th April 2009, and the previous reading was 6419 and the reading I checked on 25th April 2009 was 6834 which is still less than your anticipated billed reading of 6919 and your meter man will again come to check meter reading on 17th May 2009 and in these next 17 days we might consume another let say 100 units, which will come to 7119 and the difference will be only 100 units.
Again next month you will ask us how we only consumed 100 units.

Also I would like to mention that inspite of heavy load shedding of 6-8 hours, we are still getting exorbitant bills and naturally fewer units will be consumed.

Dear Sir, I am a working person, and it is very difficult for me to take leave from office and come every month to settle this problem, so I shall be grateful to you, if you could look into this matter and solve it once and for all, so we are not bothered every month.

I MOHAMMAD ZEESHAN Owner of House # 360 G-1 AL-MUSTAFA HOMES GARDEN EAST SHAHNI STREET NEAR ADAM JEE SCE COLLEGE, Karachi containing Electric Meter # A58530 & Consumer # AL-373236. We have received Electric bill for the month of March 2009 is Rs- 1200/- to 1500/- at an average because at the moment no one is vacant on that house so, electric is use and this average bill is nominal but we are very shocked when we received bill m/o April 2009 of Rs 2500/-on average, There is still no one is residing at that house so please sir take a look and correct this excess bill to a nominal average bill.

Your early on that meter will be highly appreciated.

My account no is :0304461020185. Now I repeated recived bill with over charge amount. Now you must be adjusted my bill with my last month paid bill who is I already paid last month 660/=. Becasue I already told you my house is closed and many time I make complains.

But I think you ignore it. This month I don't want to pay extra amount. Please favour me and do something. I don't want to received overcharge bill next time and this month bill you adjusted with my last month bill.

I received last 4th month regularly monthly bill with AVG Meter reading 4391 and my exact meter reading is now 4021. My house is closed and I received bill last month 1200/=. I forward this complain in our area officer and meter reading man. But no response. My CHOKIDAAR (GUARD) told me , One day Inspection Officer is coming at my closed house for checking purpose and he confirmed and he agree with us this house is closed and he mark up in own register. But now it's restarted this practise.

Please help me out about this matter. I am very thankful to you. I can't pay this amount and now I received this month bill this night when I tell you about exact figure.

Yes Dear sir this is all ok the billing are being on the average. because the thefts are accuring by the much consumer in the city. whoever the illegal kunda also accured in the largest kachi abadies and othe aread of the city.

Dear Sir,
Please be informed that there are nothing any outstanding arrears against my Accounts No. 0312616260016 and we have to use regular payments of our Electric Consumption Bill and already been paid bill for the month of December 2010 Rs.500.00.

Now we received a surprising bill on 19-02-2011 for the Month of January 2011 for Total Rs. 22,400/- unit consumption 100 along with an arrear Rs.18,827.56. with wrong account # 0312616260015 but the other details are same. While we are paying Electrical bill regular basis month by month as per consumption then how it raise an arrear for Rs. 18,827.56.

It seems to be an error indeed, and erroneously my account have been charged an arrear mentioned above. You are, therefore requested to kindly look into the matter sympathetically on humanitarian ground and ask to the concerned person to correct the bill at your earliest enabling me to pay the Bill for the Month of January 2011 in time.

Dear Sir, I am a working person and getting a sum of Rs.5,000/- PM hence it is very painful and difficult to pay the huge bill received by you.

Meanwhile there is heavy load shedding 4 to 8 hours daily but we also use electricity very carefully , not even switch on fans in summer to minimize the bill, it is very sad that despite of that we are being charged so high, please reduce our bill to correction.

One more thing is that all of our area is using illegal electricity but your officials are not taking any action against them, but they are supporting them.

Please take a serious action about this matter so that our area can be made free from illegal electricity.

Attached herewith the copies of all my paid bill of previous months and a copy of current month.

Dear Sir,
For the last few months, i.e from October2010, i am receiving excess billing from your department. i met one of your officer at customer care centre in Gulshan-e-iqbal, Karachi, who told me that my meter has been bye passed, so it will be changed after receiving application. i moved an application on 26-03-11 to change my meter immediately because your deptt is sending me bill on AVG basis which is very excessive every month. After passing one month time, meter could not be changed and i again met the same officer who advised me that your meter is properly working but there found some taping which should be removed by any electrician. i removed those taping by service of an electrician and moved another application on 02-04-11 to visit and check my meter and requested to issue bill on meter reading basis. i dont know whether your employee has visited or checked the meter or not but again sent me the bill on AVG basis for Rs. 15,400/= which i am unable to pay because there is no factory in my flat. However, your employee had visited previously to check the load but even your deptt is sending me excess billing. Why i dont know.
There is one thing more, that i am living in Block-11 of Gulshan-e-Iqbal, and there is Goth namely "Hussain Hazaara Goth" where all people steal the electric through "Kunda System" One week before, your deptt had removed the kunda, but now just after 2 days, they are getting electric through kunda system.
Please stop this and send me correct bill on real reading of my meter.

I enlarged complain through your tool number 118 who give me complain No. 2925 on 11-08-2011 after I again repeat my complain many times after two days came area supervisor/sub engineer Mr. Aijaz Memon who said me give me Rs. 1000/= rupees to our staff after we solve your problem. The KESC already charging maintenance from consumer. MR Aijaz giving every month from users of conda/ a factory of fiber glass at RKV model colony near sindhi School and a street and two bu fellow baras every month charging illegally. Kindly give action and check the areas till our areas wires are broken. Mr. Aijaz said your complain not solve with out money it is challenge of MR. Aijaz Memon kindly transfer him or give action as soon as other wise we all are consumers enter a petition in the court. Kind for information to Honourable competent authority of KESC.

Please solve our problem many wire broken since last five days many complains enlarged but no action why. We all consumer thought the KESC is blackmail at his corrupt staff /black sheep. Whose proof is Mr. Aijaz Memon sub Engineer Malir / Model Colony. Our areas wire broken from three polls in the houses of Ramzan Katyars. RKV Model Colony near Mehran Depot Malir Town Karachi. kindly solve our problem we all thankful to your great Corporation and honest staff who is loving human being.
