Delay in issuing Passport

I have submitted a form for new passport at 25th of may 2010, they gave me a date for issuing 17th june , as a normal passport while thier process of noramal is 12 days
butt when i rech thier at 17th june they told me to come after a month . i need my passport badly Call no688
