salam my name is fahad n i m from Karachi, my problem is that my broad band not working since 3 weeks and no one comes to repair it, who is responsible for this please help me

Dull service

Infact it is too "moody" to work with! At times it works like a real broadband connection and very often it makes you regret your decision of installing it at home! Worst of all is that no one at PTCL really cares about the pain customers suffer from! they don't even bother listen to your complaint (don't pick up on 1218) and if luckily they pick up, they just say" we've transferred your complain to concerned dept." and nothing happens! Customer care sucks!

well Fahad you have the same complaint which I had since end of march... I was using Shiro modem since last 2 months when all of sudden DSL went down... all complaints at 1218 falling to deaf ears... well then I did send my driver to local exchange.. where he checked for the bill and was told their by some insider that affairs at PTCL are doomed ... but he was told by some confidante that the only way to get noticed and cared was to reach to some Mr.Azam Khan who they called SM of Rapid Customer Care.. and when my driver contacted him .... and told him that since 2 weeks we were facing this problem... he noted down... withing an hour... my modem was replaced with another brand Huwai free of cost,,, and broadband restored... My advice is that the local exchange Customer Care is the first place you have to approach for any complaints.. instead of dialing 1218.. and if not heard... approach the guy i referred above... and believe me they hear....

I don't know about karachi, but here in Lahore i get rapid customer service, and not only that, my dsl has been performing well. I mean sometimes at 105kbps download !!!!!!!!! yes, after my experience with wateen, PTCL is God sent really.
I for one am one satisfied customer. I suggest if you guys have any problems, the best thing to do is to meet up with the managers at the customer service or exchange.

yar i ordered it a month b4 and it worked only a week..and till now i m complaining..but no responce ..what the hell..

salams awl of you... i m from hyderabad and i m having a 512 connection on a student package at home and seriously it is working like a charm no problem at all
on 1st april there was some virus which infected many internet consumers and the shiro modems were replaced with the new one

shiro modem was working fine with me about a year and now i have ZTE and its more nicer than shiro no hang ups n speed is nice but it do take time in connecting but ones it connects it never disconnects itself

if u have problem then log in to www.ptcl.com.pk and download the virus patch reinstall windows and install the patch and then turn ur modem on

second if u have some problem rush to your local exchange and they will solve the problem 1218 is crap

DSL one day working and one day not working.
