PTCL broadband Complaints - COMPLAINT

I hope you will find my email in best of your health, i am using ptcl broadband but unfortunately its not working from last month. I complained many times but there is no reaction from ptcl complaint office. Kindly help me out.

Here is my story everyone... and believe me, its way more frustrating then it looks. I'm not even exaggerating about any of this.

I have EXTREMELY SEVER issues with services provided by PTCL. I submitted complaint on Friday 13 August 2010 (complaint No. 128) about problem with DSL and IPTV services. At that time phone line was working perfectly. Problem was with DSL which was down to 2048 instead of 4096 and IPTV was not working since last 2 days i.e. 11 August 2010. I registered a complaint with PTCL is what anyone with problem would do.

After long wait and no contact from PTCL customer support, After no work or resolution to my problem from them, I received a call on 15 August, I received an automated call saying "we believe the problem you were facing is fixed"... a complete lie I tell you. My DSL was still on 2048 and IPTV was still not working. I pressed 2 and moved on. This insane activity continued for 2 more days and I kept pressing 2... hoping they would actually do something and fix my issue.

On 17th august another tragedy occurred !!!
Instead of getting these problems fixed, my entire PTCL connection has simply disappeared from PTCL database. My number has vanished from their system. My phone line is completely DOWN and if I try to use automatic complaint feature on 1218, it tells me that phone number is not valid.

WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?

I am paying over 3000 rupees/month to get this pathetic service?

I ask from anyone who is reading this... Who are these people running this million dollar empire we call PTCL. Do they have any idea at all what their customers are going through?

After facing this problem I started finding ways to contact someone who can do something about this, but that someone is probably so much at ease with all the benefits from PTCL, that he doesn't care what we (the customers of PTCL) go through. They get Free Medical for themselves and their whole families, they get good salaries, easy timings to work in, subsidies on services from PTCL (rather free connection and calls), they sit in air conditioned offices, get transport services, automobiles to move them around to get things fixed... they get everything they need... yet, they are sitting somewhere without the knowledge, without the idea of our sufferings.

I can keep typing and my frustration wont end. My problems wont go away. No body will care, as no one has. Yet I write to say "when is this gonna end?" Will someone ever actually work in these Govt. offices or keep earning haraam and feeding their families (maybe not all but most of them are like this).

Will there ever be someone capable to handle these issues or just sell a service and wait till the customer gets so frustrated that he throws everything to their face and finds an alternate?

Please do something you all... please!

I am really very dissaponted from ptcl services ,on 7 feb i just took the information about ptcl broadband student package they given me the order number if u r interested then scan ur original university card and with order no. email on our email address but i didn't did that all but on 8 feb they activate my connection not even given me modem i complaint on 1236 they said kindly visit your local north karachi exchange and complain for dissconecting the services i also given the application and took recieving and signs that time and also on 14 feb recieved the call fom ptcl headoffice islamabad they said we are dispatching ur telephone with net services and took off the jumpers from ur phone but when i called on 1236 they said in karachi we didn't recieve any application from u yet this is really very very bad situation for me they made me crazy how much time that i visit the exchange they are not even noticing my problem and without any modem how they activate and attach my phone with net services not even i filled any form ,This is really very very dissapponting situation and how much careless people there which didn't take any notice ....Please kindly take some action and as soon as possible please free my phone line.........!!!

Dear Sir, I am regularly complaining that the speed of DSL has been slow down to the 512 or less as downlink shows.

I bring your Kind notice that I complaint for New DSL connection on telephone Number 0938-310099 on 10th of March 2011, I am sorry to say that I could not received Positive reply so far.You know I have continue complaint on complaint # 1218 & 1236 I am disappointed from your service you are advertising is very good and attractive but service is zero. if you are not provide the facilities for said subject and give the reason why you can not provide that service or you are not able to run this service. Despite the many complaint to your Helpline, But they are also not give suitable answer there answer is your number is Stocked in your System, (Still in Redis ) and not check my DSL, I am not understand what is happening with me. I need urgent service, but yours still unable my connection Please look this matter with your best consultative and take necessary action regarding problem.

you know we all Pakistani are spartan with the employees and employers with regard to reduce the DSL speed and they are spartan with minting money only. I think that this is the main policy of PTCL.

The PTCL Broadband always flows the low capacity. I never 1mb even 500 kpbs. I do not understand why they prodding the consumers by such tacts. on the one side we pay the electricity sumptuous bill every month despite non-availability electricity and on other the Broadband provides us low flow of mb and kbps.I suggest that the concerned authorities may consider our pleas so that we could be ameliorated to a great extent by taking necessary action against the operators.
