ptcl sucks 4 online gaming

GUyz i have the same problem dunno y my ping is too high even when i have closed every thing and just playing.Could you tell me which connection is the kmost suitable for online gaming

ping is not always high but on my PTCL 1MB its 300ms on GTA SA-MP and 300+MS on AOE II GameRanger

sir 300ms very high ping for online gaming ............ normal 60 ms

ask for optical fibre...it may cost but you will enjoy the high speed after ward....and also check whether u have broadband connection directly attached to your computer or it is attached to phone line first and then goes to your computer....

Fiber line wont help too much. I think this is from ptcl side and I insist this because I m using DSL for more than 1 year n my ping was always superb & have less choke, loss and lag on ptcl online servers.
But from last two months, uff..!!! Ptcl is hell for me. They have too much high ping n lag. Choke n Loss is in huge amount. I can fell it from the smooth gameplay on others servers.
My all things are correct coz m not noob both in cs n in IT :D
PTCL must review. @ Usman T Tasneem u must read this.( he is the person dealing these issues in PTCL)

i have ptcl 1mb package with optic fiber and still my ping in counter strike and cod is 300ms above
please sove this problem

Moreover my download speed used to be like 193kbs - 160kbs
but since the start of this month my download speed has dropped to 100kbs

i am dsl user and i have high noise in my phone line and many times i have complain but nobody contact with me please help me i will be thankful to you.

sahi tha,magar ab litency 550 to 600 k beech ati hai jis ki waja se mujhe buhut

problem hoarahi hai,sir kindly meri game litency wapas normal kerdein jo pehle

thi 50 to 60,agar ye masla na theek hosaka to mein apna connection ptcl

broadband disconnect kerwa dunga.....

After regards and going through all these complaints, it is evident that PTCL is only up to grab money from people of Pakistan with their monopoly.
I am also one of the aggrieved of ptcl by their worse connection speed and outstanding dues every month with mentioning various lame reasons.
I got my phone connection shifted from my one home to other, as a result of which they imposed Rs. 500 service charges Rs.15 tax and Rs.475 without mentioning any reason, not only this they imposed some VAT Rs.227 and W.H Tax Rs.124/- all these charges are with no clausible reason some may be called Tax but what about the rest.
Not only this but i also had to suffer/wait for couple of weeks awaiting for installation of connection at my new home.
The bottom line is fellows, that we shall contact Consumer rights protection Court. That Court just need an application no plain paper by the applicant, no need of lawyer or any suchlike person/thing and giving reply to PTCL of their evil acts. A friend of mine in nearby city did so few days ago and up till now the Court is summoning all the High-ups of PTCL and now he says that he feels good, when they are also aggrieved of the consumer. Moreover, they dont have any option of complaints on their website.
I am also up to snatch my right instead of begging from this deaf company and suggest u all the same.

PTCL ko apny consumers ko Harjana dena chahyee kioun keh PTCL private company hai.. It is stated that I m the student of University of Engineering and Technology Abbottabad Campus. I have been using PTCL DSL connection for the last two years. My internet is out of order for the last 5 days and I have made complaint so many times to the Mandia Abbottabad exchange and to costumer services as well but nothing has been done yet and SDO had passed wrong report that the problem has been fixed. Our complaint numbers were 24, 20, 1 and 18. This morning we made our complaint again to the exchange and they told me that our member is on its way towards your hostel but 6 hours have been elapsed and he hasn’t reached yet.

I m final year student and I m doing my thesis project but because of the problem in internet I cant work on my project. Kindly consider the problem and talk to the exchange.

Using PTCL for over 6 months now . 4Mb package . everything was fine at my end . But a couple of days back while i was using internet . The internet goes down . The internet light and dsl light was stable that time, and even after . But i was not even able to browse any website .
My normal latency at Counter Strike Source server was 60-70 . Which is now 170-180ms . There is definitely something wrong on PTCL's end . There is another way of complaing , if i mention that over here .. The works in PTCL exchange will nearly bend to your nees to not complain over there. They will ask you that sir Ap humain bataya karain jo problem hoti hay .. Par jab un ko normal routine main problem batao to woh User k end par hi keeray nikaltay hain . They need to get their pays raised , but they do not want to work ..

ptcl per ping kam ati hai agar setting sahi rakho, zxdsl kay modem mai adsl mode to g.lite per chalao ping kam ho jayegi. agar multiple pcs connected hain tou apni profile to 4mb ka karwa lo. package 1mb per hi. us say ping stable ati hai.

I play on European servers and my ping was 157 constant which is playable, i am on a 2mb ptcl connection, now my latency type on my modem is "Interleaved", which makes me get 450ms pings which i cannot play on anymore, My Latency type was "Fast", if someone can change it to "Fast" that would be great.

Here is the solution just follow the steps im telling you this will works for u inshallah
1-open ur internet browser and goto address 192.168.1.1(your router address)
2-click advanced from upper menu
3-click ADSL
4-change ADSL mode to "ADSL2" (from a drop down list)
5-click save
all done then check ur ping rate from speedtest.net
inform me on my email if this works for u

low speed issue is problem of optics ptcl is using...u can define a manual DNS address rather than automatic...for this u have to access your network settings and click on tcp/ip from the list then find something like "use the following DNS server addresses:"
check this option and in
"preferred DNS server:" type "8.8.8.8"
"Alternate DNS server:"type "8.8.4.4"
atleast this works for me...email me if this works for u as well...
