My broadband connection at home stopped working abotu 8 days ago. It is most probably a line fault or a modem failure, even after registering mutilpe complaints with PTCL and even after following there instructions many times the fault has not been corrected. every day I am told that a line man will come today and the day passes without him ever appearing. At the end of the month the bill will be charged without ever fixing the problem. I have not internet fascility at hoem now and then again i am left to do my studies on internet cafe's. what may i ask is becoming of PTCL. Please help me as I am desperate and have no idea as to how to ask soemone to fix this problem.

I agree 100% with this complaint and suggest you that you change your DSL provider because PTCL CS is the pits and it is never going to be of any satisfying standard anytime soon. You are right, PTCL has pathetic services and response to their customers. I have 1MBps connection at home. Since one month no service.

I have the same problem for 15 days, and suddenly i realize that when i gave a miss call from my cell to that PTCL land line on which DSL is installed, the light of dsl and internet start blinking and i can use internet for at least 5 to 8 hrs continuously. I can suggest you to use this method too, perhaps it may work.

my dsl service of pethetic ptcl is dead from last 20 day i dont know what to do i do thousands of complaints to 1218 and i personally go to cantt exchange office 5 to 6 times but they have sovled my problem i fedup of all this bullshit .

Just call PTA or email them ur problem description and dates of complaints. I guarantee you that your problem will be resolved in 7 days.
first of all thanks to ALLAH that i got ptcl broadband connection.after that thanks to the line men n persons in exchange because of them i wont be able to use my dsl for last 2 months.i have been complaining for my dsl broadband for last 2 months but unfortunately no one is intersted to solve my problem.i m fed up with this broadband services i wish ptcl should stop dsl service rather then give better service to their customer.no one is there to help us i paid 2 month bills without using internet.but i prey to GOD one day my problem will resolve by them.INSHALLAH

have u tried pta complaint. I m using dsl without any interruption since i complained at PTA. They resolved what ever the issue was, and i m happily surfing since then.

call 080080800 and 1236 and 1218 tecnical assistance dept ,and complain on bbsupportlhr@ptcl.net.pk and zomma.mohiuddin@ptcl.net.pk and also on www.ptcl.com.pk contact us tab and complains also email about ur complain on nadeem.ahmad@ptcl.net.pk
with ur telephone number and call 111202020 and 111212121 or 051111202020 or 051111212121 then also complain on ur exchange number first check ur exchange from ur bill and get that exchanges dsl department number from 1217 and call then and ask them to please fix the problem if u ll complain simultaneously on all these emails and numbers hopefully ur complain will be corrected in few days
same was the case with me i did all above i had to wait more than 2 months they dont care
Here is my story everyone... and believe me, its way more frustrating then it looks. I'm not even exaggerating about any of this.
I have EXTREMELY SEVER issues with services provided by PTCL. I submitted complaint on Friday 13 August 2010 (complaint No. 128) about problem with DSL and IPTV services. At that time phone line was working perfectly. Problem was with DSL which was down to 2048 instead of 4096 and IPTV was not working since last 2 days i.e. 11 August 2010. I registered a complaint with PTCL is what anyone with problem would do.
After long wait and no contact from PTCL customer support, After no work or resolution to my problem from them, I received a call on 15 August, I received an automated call saying "we believe the problem you were facing is fixed"... a complete lie I tell you. My DSL was still on 2048 and IPTV was still not working. I pressed 2 and moved on. This insane activity continued for 2 more days and I kept pressing 2... hoping they would actually do something and fix my issue.
On 17th august another tragedy occurred !!!
Instead of getting these problems fixed, my entire PTCL connection has simply disappeared from PTCL database. My number has vanished from their system. My phone line is completely DOWN and if I try to use automatic complaint feature on 1218, it tells me that phone number is not valid.
WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?
I am paying over 3000 rupees/month to get this pathetic service?
I ask from anyone who is reading this... Who are these people running this million dollar empire we call PTCL. Do they have any idea at all what their customers are going through?
After facing this problem I started finding ways to contact someone who can do something about this, but that someone is probably so much at ease with all the benefits from PTCL, that he doesn't care what we (the customers of PTCL) go through. They get Free Medical for themselves and their whole families, they get good salaries, easy timings to work in, subsidies on services from PTCL (rather free connection and calls), they sit in air conditioned offices, get transport services, automobiles to move them around to get things fixed... they get everything they need... yet, they are sitting somewhere without the knowledge, without the idea of our sufferings.
I can keep typing and my frustration wont end. My problems wont go away. No body will care, as no one has. Yet I write to say "when is this gonna end?" Will someone ever actually work in these Govt. offices or keep earning haraam and feeding their families (maybe not all but most of them are like this).
Will there ever be someone capable to handle these issues or just sell a service and wait till the customer gets so frustrated that he throws everything to their face and finds an alternate?

on 1218 everytime i am getting response that our representitive are busy in helping other customers.
one they picked and they were laughing and making joke with each other but they did not talk to me.
now i called other numbers and they are saying we can't do any thing just call 1218.
what is solution? i pay bill on time and what the hell of this happining?

I got response from a Lahore number, some female asked me about the problem on hand and promised to do something about it.
2 days have passed but problem still persists though.

Yes same problem with me my internet dead from last two months but sending bills properly i even paid two months bill but not get any service. Very poor service if we registered complain at help line. Line man do himself attach their set and press 0 to ok no complain. so this is not good. Total cheating.
