Since last 4 days ptcl broad band service is pathetically slow and on top of that no one available on complaint number 1218 to receive call. after trying for 1 day succeded to contact a support person who informed me that there is some problem in ptcl exchange which they dont know how much time will it take to resolve .. it is 4 days now but yet not resolved and God knows how much more days ...... a part from that service disconnection is a painfull process .. connection of service just activated with a phone call but for disconnection u have to go to exchange submit document and equipment and then wait for disconnection....

Here is my story everyone... and believe me, its way more frustrating then it looks. I'm not even exaggerating about any of this.
I have EXTREMELY SEVER issues with services provided by PTCL. I submitted complaint on Friday 13 August 2010 (complaint No. 128) about problem with DSL and IPTV services. At that time phone line was working perfectly. Problem was with DSL which was down to 2048 instead of 4096 and IPTV was not working since last 2 days i.e. 11 August 2010. I registered a complaint with PTCL is what anyone with problem would do.
After long wait and no contact from PTCL customer support, After no work or resolution to my problem from them, I received a call on 15 August, I received an automated call saying "we believe the problem you were facing is fixed"... a complete lie I tell you. My DSL was still on 2048 and IPTV was still not working. I pressed 2 and moved on. This insane activity continued for 2 more days and I kept pressing 2... hoping they would actually do something and fix my issue.
On 17th august another tragedy occurred !!!
Instead of getting these problems fixed, my entire PTCL connection has simply disappeared from PTCL database. My number has vanished from their system. My phone line is completely DOWN and if I try to use automatic complaint feature on 1218, it tells me that phone number is not valid.
WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?
I am paying over 3000 rupees/month to get this pathetic service?
I ask from anyone who is reading this... Who are these people running this million dollar empire we call PTCL. Do they have any idea at all what their customers are going through?
After facing this problem I started finding ways to contact someone who can do something about this, but that someone is probably so much at ease with all the benefits from PTCL, that he doesn't care what we (the customers of PTCL) go through. They get Free Medical for themselves and their whole families, they get good salaries, easy timings to work in, subsidies on services from PTCL (rather free connection and calls), they sit in air conditioned offices, get transport services, automobiles to move them around to get things fixed... they get everything they need... yet, they are sitting somewhere without the knowledge, without the idea of our sufferings.
I can keep typing and my frustration wont end. My problems wont go away. No body will care, as no one has. Yet I write to say "when is this gonna end?" Will someone ever actually work in these Govt. offices or keep earning haraam and feeding their families (maybe not all but most of them are like this).
Will there ever be someone capable to handle these issues or just sell a service and wait till the customer gets so frustrated that he throws everything to their face and finds an alternate?
Please do something you all... please!

We regret to inform you that various complaints for above mentioned telephones connection and many time reminders on different ways but there no response from your authority, we are facing huge difficulty to communicate for various matters its effects on our export performance and cause big losses. Please take this matter urgently and solve at your very earliest.
The subscribers to PTCL`s broadband service (DSL) are unable to browse since 2 months, surf, search, upload and download data. Those who has subscribed to 4MB services get only 30kbpsor-40kbps of downstream speed and 10kbps of upstream speed

The DSL service was discontinued several times for days due to technical faults best known to the officials concerned and whenever a customer calls them he is given the ready made reply that there is a fault in the exchange or the service is being upgraded.
Many customers have sent written and verbal complaints to concerned officials of the company but they did not get any answer.
The customers of broadband request to the chairman of the company to send a team of experts to smooth out the problems so that they can get solution to their problem
