DSL connectivity

Salam,
i have been using PTCL DSL 1MB connection for like... more than a year and was running good, at 90kbps - 110kbps downloading speed. but suddenly for last 2 months it barely connects to the DSL (the light on modem = DSL). i complained so many times to the exchange and got this kind of reply "Sir, we seems to be having a problem with the connectivity of DSL because of long distance from the exchange" and when i said "BUT i have been using the DSL for last one year... so!!! how was that?" then he said "Sir, some times it is possible that it get connects while sometimes it don't" (how pathetic).
so i got disconnected my connection but seems to be having desperate need of it again. i visited the exchange and asked for it again and the said that they won't allow me to have it coz it don't works at my area.
can somebody plz push them to fix it, we are having big problems here bcoz of the absence of DSL.
