i live in lhr township a1, my exchange people are telling me that due to construction work main wire from exchange was cut from multiple locations and multiple times this took numerous repairs of copper wire (there is no fiber optic line for our area) i wasn't informed of this at the time of installation hence high attenuation and poor snr, resulting for me in either no connection or scrambled channel on smart tv and poor download speed max 60 kbps on a 2 mb connection, i have been complaining since december 2009 , sometimes with liand even that took a lot of persuasion, bribes, and finally a call from someone authoritative, so they blessed me with an appearance, after year and half of non responsive complains guy finally tells me that my line from exchange is unable to support smart tv and also i wouldn't get promised 2 mb package download speed (around 180kbps).
imagine my frustration and anger and feeling of being deceived, even robbed. feeling is too powerful to be put in words, lets just say i wanted to physically harm someone, well hopeless situation that i was in what could i do im not a violent person, but felt totally trapped.
anyways i called back 1218 and after usual wait of half to 3 quarters of an hour i got hold of MR ALI at the line, i think could he could read the whole situation in his record he asked me to repeat everythign for him which i dutifully did, after listening to everything he said that he will put me through to his supervisor i requested him to not to put me on hold for long he said of course since i had already waited so long and that 2:30am at weekday night,he will try to make it quick, at this point i asked him to put the whole discussion on record so i wont have to repeat everything to his supervisor and generate a complain number so if line mysteriously gets drop ill have a proof for the call, he said he will do that.
After 15 min wait a Mr kamran comes on line and asks me for complain completely clueless i requested him that im exhausted by now please read the record history that Mr ali must created he insisted that i repeat everything, hmmmm i did took me almost 15 20 minutes to explain the whole scenario, that i have been paying for services that i never got and i want compensation if not full refund of the amount, or to simply take their useless devices back and pay me so that i could get evo device, nightmare struck and line drops again .
Now i repeated the painful cycle again to get kamran back on line, instead got a new guy explained everything to him and he said there is no way that i could get a refund or comensation or simply exchange the device for an evo, he told me to contact local exchange and talk to revenue officer, i started going to exchange looking for him but he was a ghost couldn't find him in my 7 -8 visit, he was mostly absent just like the exchange SDO who was always always out of office no matter whichever time i choose to visit him,i once found him in hallway and he said that i should only talk to him and he would personally resolve the whole problem, that was last that i saw or heard from him .
when i finally tracked the revenue officer at the exchange he said he cant help me and i should talk to people at PTCL 1218 line.
i have no idea what to do, but i havent been abused this way in my life ever and irony is that im paying for it.
we all affected people should start a movement to get what we were promised,
