Very high Ping while gaming

I am getting very high ping 200-300ms while playing Call of duty4 on PTCL server.Normally i get ping 70-130ms, but for 1 month it is horrible.Downloading speed is normal like earlier but ping is very high.Please resolve this issue.One more thing, I am using a 1mb DSL connection
