Now on using dial-up internet through any ISP, PTCL charges Rs.6/ per hour + Rs.2 per call/connection = Rs.8. Note that whether you purchase an ISP's card or connect directly with dial-up of PTCL, it's equal; you will have to pay Rs.8 to PTCL. It means if you are purchasing hours from ISPs you are paying for nothing.
So if you are using dial-up be cautious that:
>>>You are paying more than broadband for dial-up, which is the worst medium of connecting internet today and that has become almost free till the last month by all ISPs. But now PTCL has brought its price to the rate of those past days when it was the only and the most expensive solution of internet.
>>>You are paying for rubbish because whether you buy dial-up hours or not you will be charged Rs.8 per hour by PTCL, secretly and forcefully.
Therefore be alert to PTCL now and always. PTCL is a hound. The worst example of exploitation through monopoly in our society.
People must know that PTCL is a failed company and facing a serious deficit and going through severe lose. Therefore it's not ready to auditng it's public accounts even independent sources are criticizing and demanding its audit. But PTCL has power to exploit its customers and can force any amount without his/her knowledge. For example there are lot of cases around me when PTCL sends bills of thounds while the phone is dead. This way PTCL can overcome it's failure through artificial and unfair means. You can imagine that without any announcement if PTCL is going to charge you Rs.1000 next month as a line rent what can you do against it. And multiplying that Rs.1000 by the hundred of thousands of customers/connections what will happen. Of coruse PTCL will be the best revenue generating company in the market, and the lose will become the profit at once. Then the next month PTCL will start to charge Rs.500 for the service that has never been charged before and that is always a free service, what will happen. Of course more 'profit'. If our society cannot do anything against this sort of legal crimes, at least, we must spread awareness. And Bolta Consumer is a very good forum for it.

I think no words can condemn the sheer fraud nature of PTCLs dealings. The pakistan package which was offered as a "gift" to the nation is a glaring example.. how could they activate a service on ALL telephone connections without customers approval! They looted billions that way. who will return that money back to customers?
I dont know if complaining will have any affect on them but I want to shout loud at them and thats what im doing here! And i hope every single person in this country knows that PTCL is a terribl organization which doesnt care about its customers.
And want to add,the more charges with dead speed all the times..........
