I recently moved to my new home near safora chorangi in Gulistan-e-Johar, Block 8. Soon we felt the need of landline as my parents dont use mobile much. I applied for the connection and they assured me that it will not take more than 15 days to get installed. After a month when no one came up, I reinquired about it and came to know that I cannot get the landline as their team survyed the area and have found that their will be lot more wire needed than what is normally required! Wow! Isnt that an interesting reason for not installing a phone? Actually my house is inside a colony that has near about 100 plots in total that are all enclosed in a boundary. You can imagnie the total area inside the boundary something like the size of Natinal Stadium Karachi. Now outside the boundary their is landline in every house. To my calculation, probably a 100 meter wire is needed to connect me to the PTCL line outside. So I rang the PTCL guys back and tried to come to a solution to this problem. And as I was expecting, they insisted me to come up to their office to resolve the problem. To no surprise, there is a deal I have to go through ,probably pay something, if I still need to have a landline.

i faced similar issue. ptcl land line takes a long time in johar block 8.
There is only one way , you can get the Land Line and that is by paying the land Line 1000 rupees bill .
That's what happened in my case , I had to wait for like 30 days ( Heard loads of reason , Such as yours ) but then came to know about what they really wanted .
After paying them I got my line ( Wire and activation in just ) 24 hours .
So Stop wasting your time , with the PTCL customer group and contact the landline Guy .

I am from Sialkot-Pakistan. My computer attached to +92-52-3556461 (MOMO) has a Broad Band problem. Incoming mails are okay. but out going mails are stuck up. Since 3/4 days we are trying to contact PT CL Broad Band Technicians in first place it is impossible to reach 1218 it is always busy. And if by chance you get hold of some one. He is in Hurry & give other unreachable no. This is very deteriorating & negative situation for the customers. There must be special hot line numbers for companies.
Please help me out. I will be grateful.

ptcl ko comlain krna esay hi ha jesay ap kisi murday ko kisi kam ka keh rahay hon . ptcl chairman sy le kr line maan tak sab chor hein ye bat mein esay nahi keh raha hun deep observation k bad keh raha hun m living in the same area ptcl north nazimabd block B exchnage. in logon ka kam sirf paisay jama krna ha masoom logon sy or kuch nahi . meinay 5 din sy ptcl dsl lgaya ha or jab b computer pr bethta hun page ata ha server not found phr bohat kuch krnay k bad khud on ho jata ha. i must sy ptcl is real haram khor dept.
