(Direct) Email through messaging (option), by Nokia 2690 is not happening

As sim was activated by telenor on 20th July, 2010 at about 11:30 pm, But still I have not facility to (direct) email from messaging option. One thing is like to mention here that I am using Nokia 2690 on the said Telenor Sim.

You are requested to please activate GPRS (for doing direct emails through messaging) by Nokia 2690,
