I have recently purchased a handset Nokia 7310 Supernova from a local franchise of United Mobile. The problem is that my battery life is just some hours although Nokia claims it to be 300 talk time. But in standby mode it cant go more than 4-6 hrs. The company says there is no warranty for the batteries, as now what should i do.

there is no any kind of warranty you see ... if you drop ur phone into the water there is no warranty claim if the screen broke out u cant claim ur warranty i dont trust the warranty they just claim if some button dont work or there is some software problem which are easily can be fixed
In short, UM sucks !
Yes the type of warranty these companies are giving is only for show sha.....
I have used Nokia 7210 Supernva its battery outstandingly long lasting.
mana aaj nokia 2700 classic liya united ki warranty ma or takreeban ak he ghantay ma os ay software ma problam agay...yani jab set on karo to screen blank ho jati ha or 1 sa 2 mint ma sat off ho jata ha... set mana 8500 RS ma lia tha or ab ma bohat parashan hon.... or sales man kahta ha this is not our resposibility..... is situation ma mugha kya karna chaya????????
