sim blocked and unable to get a new one

I have been using a number of warid for almost 5 years. Bought from a local dealer in 2005 and provided him CNIC copy next day. I never checked that SIM was on my name or not and I never faced any trouble on that. I went abroad and when I came back Pakistan I found that sim has been blocked because it was not used for almost 6 months. I went to franchise with SIM packet and expired SIM card. Provided my orignal CNIC and with a copy of it.
After checking the person on franchise said that its not on my nameand this sim has expired. I said so what is the big deal I have have all the important evidence. But he refused to do anything. I contacted warid by email but after two days they called me and said that nothing can be done as this sim has expired and I will have to bring the CNIC copy of the person on who's name the sim is registered since 5 years. I was like wtf I have everything call/sms log, sim pack and expired sim so what is the problem in issuing new SIM.
Can anyone tell me how do I get that number? It's a golden number I have bought it after paying high price. Please can anyone tell me is there any way I can get back that SIM?
