Wateen Wi-Max Complaints - Slow speed for torrent downloads

facing same problem here too. a few months back when i started using wateen i had decent speed around 100-120kbps for torrents but now getting maximum 22.

Same here. Torrents are max 30KB on a 1MB connection. Youtube and downloads work at upto 100KB. But it seems they cap torrent bandwidth.

I think the only solution is to switch off the wateen device and connect through some other ISP. we have many options right there.

Torrent download Speed is good in the morning from 3 am to 10 am after that it hardly reaches 20 KB/s.
lets hope it will be rectified sooon!!!!!!!!!!!!

I m using your product (USB Device) for internet services. The service was very satisfactory, but now from 2-3 days i m very upset to network service. Only 20% signals are available in this area, were as before this 80-100% signals were available at the same location. Please solve my problem urgently. I have had this problem... i got wateen ZTE IX380...hardly i got max 20k or 60 but since i use port forwarding...form router it's work like charm...whola.... now i have 140 and above

Yar i would like to know the procedure of port forwarding for uTorrent, on ZTE IX3830. Sometimes some browsing pages require a reload that is when browsing some page dont respond, do you guyz get the same error?

I also faced same issue when i start using wateen. Later i figured out that on torrent i don't get good speed in day time but between 2AM and 11AM speed is extremely kewl around 130kbps since I am using 1MB connection. My advice is to use torrents in that time

Hey guys i'hv solved my problm of not getting speed on torrents... just download utorrent 2.0.4 and follow the steps given on this page. Hope this helps. but its working for me. before i was getting 10-20kbps but now its around 100kbps daytime!!!

wateen uses fair user policy which mean that during day time they restrict p2p speed to provide maximum browsing and during nite 2am to 11pm torrent speed limit is lifted and u can get upto 130kbps depending upon health of the torrent.hope this will help u to understand speed problem.

yes i have exacly the same problum i am getting to hate this wateen no speed for torrents but in morning 8pm it was 120 kb/s in day and night it is 2kb/s to 8kb/s only ahhhhhhhhhhh

set up your modem port forwading for utorrent
and check the seeds of your torrent and use utorrent turbo accelator

junaid check the port utorrent use the and goto to your router security then port forward
click add
then lan ip what were u use found from local area connection status
and must be your lan ip is 192.168.1.100
then add your lan ip
then add port no
three times
then enable it u get maximum speed in utorrent
