What the hell
in our area of dha phase 1, there are around 4-5 power failures a day each lasting 1-1.5 hours. Its not even summers yet, I wonder what would happen in June-July.
The federal minister for electricity raja pervez had said the situation will improve considerably after "bhal safai" was completed by 31st january. But we see absolutely no improvement at all. The situation had improved when the president had taken a notice in January. What the hell is wrong with KESC?

Now raja pervez Ashraf says load shedding situation will improve by 31st March. yeah right.
Load shedding is very common in our city Karachi, this is due to negligience of K.E.S.C staff, they all are just getting their salaries instead of doing any job. They are all unreliable persons.

I think KESC and their staff are the worst people on this planet. They treat people like animals. We are their customers, they make mistakes in the bills and we have to suffer for the mistakes made by them. They have made our lives miserable, I think they should make us stand in a line and shoot us, I think this is the only way to stop our miseries.
Hey, you are not the only one, we in phase VI have the same problem, and the worst is when the bijli goes in the middle of the night, and you have to wake up due to the unbearable heat etc or to switch the generator etc on. In UN law deprivation of sleep is considered to be torture and is illegal. But in Pakistan KESC is at it on a daily basis.
With regards to your comment on the President taking notice of the issue in January and the situation improving, LOL, when has the situation improved? If anything the situation has got worse, and as you rightly say it is not even summer time at the moment.......only god knows what will happen at the peak summer time!!!!
Actually, the President did take notice of KESC long before January.....he actually took notice as soon as he came in to power and appointed his relative to head the KESC.......and decided to pay him something close to 60 lacs every month!!!!! Now thats taking notice......
I can assure you, that even the CEO's of top firms in the UK or USA do not earn that much, and they actually provide a service that they are there for. So yes the President did take notice of the KESC issue and decided to help out his friend and relative to screw the consumer even more, while increasing the electricity prices by 60%.......

I agree. Our President and other responsible people are taking notice only to appoint their jiyalas. Most of the companies operated are overstaffed by over 200% to 300% and that's one of the reason of their inefficiency and going in loses.

Dont complain mate.....as soon as the glorious!!!! (LOL) Mr Zardari leaves it will be back to normal. KESC has not changed it is just trying to show that it has by spending their money on fancy marketing campaigns etc....why dont they spend that money on upgrading the grid network that is falling apart.

certainly the capacity cant be increased overnight, i think the management just decided that need to be humans and not animals anymore? if this was just a management issue then why it took so long to solve? i urge, and plead in the strongest possible manner to not play with common man. don't make us the victim of your sheer incompetence :( you dont have any idea of how many lives you made MISERABLE due to your act of negligence.
i cant believe the kesc situation has imnproved so drastically and i hope it stays this way!

I think govt will change the management of kesc..or nationalize the company again
anti theft campaign has over motivated the KESC Dogs, they are putting fine on those consumers too who are not involve in theft and paying bill on regular basis. sending this email just to check wheather any on from concern authority is responding or not, I have the solid and written prove of my statement. This is to bring in your notice that my name is Mumtaz Hussain residence of House No. 660 Street No. 9
Sector 40/C, Noorani Basti, Korangi No.1, Karachi. Informing you that our PMT No.5 which is not working from November 7, 2011 till date, we are all without electricity, facing lot of problems in these days.
We all visited area KESC office to register complain in this regard but KESC officials say due to outstanding dues from 33 consumers, PMT will not be restored. I would like to inform you that around 167 consumers have been paying their bills regularly and KESC should not punish these 167 consumers dut to non payment by other 33 consumers.
Kindly take your personal interest to resolve this matter as quickly as possible.

Sub: COPMLAINT AGAINST AVERAGE/OVER BILLING.
I am resident of below address which is a ground plus two (one unit), entire premises is in my use and my family comprise upon three persons.
To achieve proper supply and to avoid glut billing I get KESC connection through cable on my own expenses and get installed two electric meters bearing Nos.LA 335599 and Meter Reader takes reading every month on regular basis.
For the month of March 2012 reading noted by Reader as on 16/4/12 was 9889 whereas, on 24/4/12 when I received bill of meter No LA 335599 it was 9175 on which I lodged a written complaint with Manager IBM which was received vide their number : 0980 dated 26/4/12 and I was informed that this happened because above meter is not mounted properly on the wall.
Today i.e. 27/4/12 Staff of KESC came and changed the meter.
You are requested to please look into the matter and as due date of above bill is running out on 30/04/2012 therefore, to avoid unwanted situation I am paying bill of above of excess bill without prejudice (714 Units which I have not used).
An early action will highly be appreciated.
